Terms and Conditions

Suppliers to Johnson Precision Products must comply with these basic Quality Clauses. Additional Quality Clauses will be noted on the Purchase Order as required.

All Suppliers: Lines 1-15

1. The supplier is expected to provide the intended service with top ethical behavior and is seen as a key member of the supply chain.  By ensuring that the product is conforming to customer requirements, the supplier is also aiding to the success of the functionality and safety of the part and its end use.  

2. Any delay in shipment must be conveyed to Johnson Precision Products Purchasing as soon as the delay is known.

3. Any changes to the contract requirements by the supplier must be approved by Johnson Precision Products in writing.

4. All information in the contract must be held in confidence and no third-party request for information will be authorized unless instructed in writing by Johnson Precision Products representative.

5. All unauthorized repairs or salvage is prohibited.

6. All product handling must be conducted in a Mercury Free environment. If Mercury contamination is suspected, supplier must notify Johnson Precision Products in a timely manner.

7. JPPI reserves the right to approve or disapprove its suppliers based on the suppliers Quality Management System.

8. Altered data by any means is unauthorized including white out, obliterating or making data unreadable.

9. In addition to Johnson Precision Products right of entry, the supplier agrees to right of entry for our customers, or regulatory agencies, to all facilities and records in the performance of this contract.

10. All applicable requirements must be flowed down to sub-tier suppliers.

11. Notify Johnson Precision Products of changes in product and/or process definition and, where required, obtain Johnson Precision Products approval. 

12. Notify Johnson Precision Products quality department prior to transferring any Johnson Precision Products work to a new facility. Johnson Precision Products’ Q.A. Manager will determine prior to the transfer if the supplier may perform the transfer of work.

13. Notify Johnson Precision Products quality department of nonconforming product and make proper arrangements for approval.

14. Maintain adequate records of all inspections and tests. Records shall be kept for a period of fifteen (15) years after delivery of last shipment.

15. As applicable, the supplier shall establish and maintain a Counterfeit Parts Prevention and Control Plan using Industry Standard AS-5553 as a guideline. The supplier shall immediately notify JPPI with the pertinent facts if the Supplier becomes aware or suspects that it has furnished Counterfeit work. 

Service/Processing Suppliers: Lines 17-20

16. Processing suppliers must furnish processing certifications to the purchase order requirements, and shall not process any parts for which they are not certified or approved.

17. The supplier shall comply with NAS412, Foreign Object Damage/Foreign Object Debris.

18. In the event that product is damaged and at the fault of the vendor/supplier, that party may be held liable to the cost of the damage.

19.  All non-conventional manufacturing methods are prohibited without prior authorization. (EDM, ECM, laser, etc...)

Material Suppliers: Lines 21-22

20. As applicable, suppliers are required to comply with DFARS clause 252.225-7014 ALT 1 "Preference for Domestic Specialty Metals". Suppliers are required to flow down this DFARS clause to sub-tiers.

21. Material suppliers must furnish material certifications to the purchase order requirements, and shall not supply material for which they are not certified or approved.
